The Douglass's in Rochester
Rose O’Keefe will give a talk on the Frederick Douglass family history when they were in Rochester from 1847-1872.
The presentation will be in the Museum on Feb. 18 at 7 p.m.
On many sidewalks in Fairport you will find imbedded in the cement a metal stamp that says “C. M. Lumbard Mason Contractor Fairport, N.Y.”
Not only did residents hire Mr. Lumbard to put in their sidewalks, but he also built many buildings homes in Fairport, one of which is a locally designated landmark.
The museum is closed until March 7, 2020. Our programs will continue during that time.
If you need to do research or would like a special tour, please email the Society.
